The story
In 1957 Grandfather Vincenzo opened a little bakeshop rooted in the wonderful medieval village of Acerenza. For three generations their bakery never turns off. The family carries on the tradition with dad Michele and his never tired ally, the sourdough. The leavened products represent our strongest point, in which ancient flavours sit alongside reinterpretations that made possible their success. The third generation, that is the one of Vincenzo and then Giuseppe, dedicates itself to an intensive research that combines tradition and innovation, essential features for Tiri’s family. For more than sixty years, we produce handcrafts and we hand down leavened pastries of the Italian tradition. In 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2020 our Panettone was awarded as the Best of Italy and in 2017 our “Colomba” received the same award. This is what we are: tradition and innovation, history and progress, attachment to our territory and an accurate selection of the raw materials. This is the secret of the ancient Art of Tiri1957 company.

The territory
Acerenza is a small village in Basilicata with 2300 inhabitants, located on a high ground of 833 meters above sea level. Its cliff dominates the valley below and since the ancient times it was the much desired pray for all the populations that came in that area. The period of the greatest splendour was the Early Middle Ages when the works of the Cathedral of Saint Maria Assunta and Saint Canio were completed: it became the beating heart of this Basilicata’s town and of the entire diocese.
The prestigious American magazine Forbes mentioned Acerenza among the most beautiful destination in the world. Moreover, it is considered one of the most beautiful village in Italy.
In this amazing scenography, with hills, prolific countryside, rivers, and old stones full of history, is born the tastiest Panettone in Italy.
